About MBO America Folding Seminars

The MBO Folding School has trained thousands of operators with tips, techniques and fundamentals of folding. Our new Technology Center, the home of MBO's Fold School, now includes MBO's full complement of equipment providing participants with unparalleled exposure to a fantastic array of finishing equipment. Under the Directorship of one of our certified folding experts participants not only improve their proficiency but also develop a relationship where we can continue to mentor their needs when they get back to their shop.

Both Advanced level and Basic full-day courses are completely free to MBO customers and include a new and updated instruction manual with hundreds of illustrations and new Technical Information sheets on micro perforating. These hands-on courses address the importance of maximizing productivity by minimizing down-time. The MBO Folding School provides the opportunity for operators to improve their knowledge and proficiency regardless of their skill level.

“Basic” Folding, for beginners, is designed to teach the fundamentals of folding paper and the safe operation of machinery and accessory units. Students set up different jobs with a variety of paper sizes and the inherent problems associated with different impositions and paper stock. “Advanced” Folding focuses on more complex problems with a stronger emphasis on machine principles covering both mechanical and electrical features. The courses also provides the framework for improving operator proficiency with slitting, center bleed, edge trimming, perforating and creasing along with gluing and double-gate folding.

Upon completion of the 2 ½ day course, attendees are given a certificate of folding machine operating proficiency from MBO America.
