MBO receives “100 Spots for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Wuerttemberg” award

Among other reasons, the CoBo-Stack from MBO was given the award due to its digitalisation options.

Oppenweiler/Stuttgart, 7 August 2020 – Last year, MBO Postpress Solutions GmbH set an important milestone for the future of modern print finishing with the CoBo-Stack collaborative robot. For this reason, State Secretary Katrin Schütz named MBO, among others, as a winner of the “100 Spots for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Wuerttemberg“ competition in a video message on August 3, 2020.

“Baden-Wuerttemberg is a pioneer in trendsetting technologies such as artificial intelligence and the implementation of innovative ideas for the industry of the future. With this award, we want to motivate small and mid-size companies to actively pursue the real opportunities of Industry 4.0“, says Schütz. In addition to the CoBo-Stack from MBO, the award was given to 10 other companies for their digitalization solutions.

“The prize aims to increase the awareness of innovative solutions from this state which create added value. It offers Industry 4.0 pioneers the chance to be recognised for their achievements and other companies inspiration from a wide range of application examples”, explains Schütz.

The objective of the “Industry 4.0 Baden-Wuerttemberg Alliance” network initiated by the Ministry of Economics is to find concepts from the economy which have been successful in the intelligent networking of production and value creation processes. The jury of experts evaluates the specific practical relevance for Industry 4.0 as well as the degree of innovation.

The “Industry 4.0 Baden-Wuerttemberg Alliance” aims to bundle expertise from production technology as well as information and communication technology, network all important actors and assist mid-size companies in implementing Industry 4.0 with innovative transfer offers. The coordinating office is the VDMA regional association in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The more than 50 partner organisations of the alliance – companies, groups, associations, clusters, universities and research institutions as well as social partners – strive to establish Baden-Wuerttemberg as a leading region for Industry 4.0 technologies worldwide. Small and mid-size companies in particular play an important role and stand to profit from the alliance.
