The KL112.1 is designed for small (miniature) products produced on commercial or pharma grade stocks most commonly associated with the “PI” and insert/outsert markets.

The combination of 26 mm diameter folding rollers and up to 16 fold plates makes the KL112.1 capable of minimum fold lengths as low as 18 mm and large input sheet sizes. The KL 112.1 uses a modular design and can be matched to glue units, knife fold units, various deliveries, pressing units, and more to make a versatile and customized folding system. It can handle a wide range of run lengths by having two available feeders; pile or continuous.

The KL 112.1 is an easy to use miniature folding machine built by Herzog+Heymann. One of the unique features with the KL 112.1 is the radial positioning of the fold rollers which give operators superior control when setting up jobs. Other folding units have linear positioning, but with radial positioning the operator has greater control over gaps between the rollers and the fold plates. Thanks to MBO’s modular approach to finishing, the KL 112.1 is compatible with a wide range of Herzog+Heymann and MBO finishing modules.

Ultrasonic double sheet control at the infeed helps minimize the risk of jams by detecting a double sheet before it gets to the folder
